TDI has an immediate need for a Security Engineer for a customer on a highly visible and strategic Cybersecurity Task Order. The Security Engineer will need to be a self-starter with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, flexibility, good judgment, and the ability to coordinate multiple, concurrent tasks in an effective manner. This individual will work with internal team members to ensure that systems are functional, secure, and scalable.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Experience with Cloud Vulnerability & Compliance Analyst to manage vulnerability lifecycle and compliance reporting using Wiz. This role will be instrumental in identifying misconfigurations, tracking remediation, and aligning cloud posture with frameworks like CIS, NIST, and ISO 27001.
  • Analyze and prioritize cloud vulnerabilities surfaced by Wiz across AWS, GCP, and Azure.
  • Coordinate remediation activities with DevOps and Infrastructure teams.
  • Develop Wiz dashboards and compliance posture reports.
  • Write and manage Wiz queries (WQL) for tailored risk views.
  • Track progress against regulatory and internal security baselines (e.g., CIS Benchmarks).
  • Operate and maintain vulnerability scanning tools (e.g., Nexpose, Tenable).
  • Perform both planned and ad-hoc vulnerability scans across various environments.
  • Analyze vulnerability data to identify trends, patterns, and potential impacts.
  • Assess risk based on vulnerability data, threat intelligence, and asset criticality.
  • Triage and prioritize vulnerabilities for remediation based on risk and business impact.
  • Map vulnerabilities to real-world threats and develop mitigation guidance.
  • Work with IT, application, and engineering teams to ensure timely remediation and patching.
  • Develop and implement vulnerability management processes, including change controls and security exceptions.
  • Track remediation progress and ensure compliance with corporate standards and policies.
  • Develop and maintain reporting solutions to track vulnerability metrics and remediation progress.
  • Communicate risks and recommend security controls to stakeholders at all levels.
  • Assist in incident handling and investigations.
  • Contribute to the development and improvement of vulnerability management strategies, policies, and standards.
  • Evaluate new security technologies to enhance the vulnerability management program.
  • Automate vulnerability management workflows where possible
  • Work closely with senior engineers, other team members and application owners to solve technical problems at the network, system and application levels
  • Documentation and reporting along with presentation, teamwork and DHS wide collaboration are among the expected duties and mission of the task order
  • Define system security & design requirements to meet FISMA and FedRAMP compliance standards
  • Provide follow-up reports (technical findings, feedback, resolution steps taken) for Root Cause analysis, engineering technical assessment and process improvement initiatives

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • BS degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or related field and 8-12 years of prior relevant experience with a focus on cybersecurity OR Masters with 6-8 years of prior relevant experience.
  • Experience installing, configuring, securing, and troubleshooting Linux.
  • Analyze and prioritize cloud vulnerabilities surfaced by Wiz across AWS, GCP, and Azure.
  • Extensive automation experience with PowerShell and Shell Scripting for automating repeatable tasks and installations
  • Extensive knowledge of server operations and maintenance
  • Understanding of cloud terminology, architecture, and tools to include installing, provisioning and monitoring.
  • Knowledge of TVM Vulnerability Management for identifying, assessing, prioritizing, and remediating security vulnerabilities across an organization's IT infrastructure, including on-premise and cloud environments.
  • Strong technical skills related to operating systems, networks, applications, and cloud environments.
  • Knowledge of security best practices, risk assessment, and vulnerability classification (e.g., CVSS, MITRE ATT&CK).
  • Experience with reporting and metrics development.
  • Familiarity with scripting languages such as Python is often beneficial.
  • Superior attention to detail with excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent problem solving, research, and follow-up skills
  • Self-motivation and ability to work independently
  • Ability to obtain an Entry of Duty (EOD) Public Trust
  • Candidate must, at a minimum, meet one of these certifications: CISSP, CCSP, CCNP, CCIE Security, CEH, RHCSA, RHCA, RHCE, MCSE, COMPTIA Security+, GCIH, GPEN, OSCP, OSCE, AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner, Azure Solutions Architect Expert.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience working with Sepio Asset Risk Management (ARM)
  • Experience working in AWS and Azure
  • Experience working with CrowdStrike or RelativityOne is a plus
